Project 366 week 5
Crikey it's been cold this week. And yet Sunday was wet, wet, wet. We opted to stay inside until there was a break in the clouds: I'm looking forward to both The Girls having scooters because they do nothing but fight over LBG's one. Monday dawned bright, clear and cold. There was a hint of snow in the air, so it was a good thing that the builders are off on Jury … [Read more...]
Hobbies and Crafts at Glow, Bluewater
I had a thoroughly enjoyable Thursday morning with Mari, The Great British Housewife, exploring the first Hobbies and Crafts show at Bluewater. We would have been first through the door but we'd have had to elbow a few old biddies out of the way and apparently that isn't the done thing. I left a comment about never needing to wait long in our house and the very nice PR people asked me if I'd like some to try too. No less than 48 hours after it arrived I did myself significant damage with a glue gun, which goes to show that a) I wasn't lying when I said you didn't have to wait long for me … [Read more...]
Me right now
You have no idea how hard it is to take a photo of a life-sized drawing of yourself with your smart phone, whilst also trying to get yourself into the photograph too. So I gave up, and took this instead: It looks reasonably like me: note the bags under the eyes, which are permanently tired due to a combination of the-cough-that-will-never-go-away and the-child-that-sucks-at-sleeping. And pinterest addiction. I'm wearing my LONDON, England … [Read more...]
What is Pinterest? A beginner’s guide
What is Pinterest? Pinterest is an online pin board of ideas and inspiration. If you, like me, have a stash of pages torn from magazines in a corner of your house somewhere (they *ahem* might even be categorised and alphabetised) then this is the 21st Century format. It’s based on the age old premise that a picture tells a thousand words. And it’s a gift to those of you lucky enough to have a tablet, where images play a very … [Read more...]
