A long time ago, I mentioned that I had a desk. a desk of which I was incredibly proud, because it gave me a bonafide work space. You will not be shocked to learn that it quickly became a 'storage' space, and is stacked with all those things that "I'll just put on my desk to file/throw/deal with later". So this is where the 'magic happens': … [Read more...]
Project 366 Week 25
Are we halfway there yet? This week saw the longest day so I'm assuming that it's all downhill from here. Although that means I have less than six months to achieve my aims for this year so I'd better get a wriggle on! … [Read more...]
Local Flavour: Vintage Mix
I turned up at a friend's house the other day with an invitation to an exclusive Pop-Up Shop. I'd never been to a Pop-Up Shop before. Well, after a few days of living with the finished makeover I decided something was missing, and I wasn't sure what until the post arrived and some pink lace Washi tape that I ordered for another project landed on my doormat. … [Read more...]
Family: The Gallery Week 102

No sew ribbon-trimmed cafe curtain
When we moved in to our house, we inherited the 'choice' colour schemes of the previous owners. Not for them the House-Doctor-Style-neutral-throughout-to-appeal-to-the-buyers, they kept their bold colour choices and sale be damned. Obviously this worked in our favour, since there were a few months between us having to withdraw our initial offer (our sale fell through) and us being back in a position to buy, and no-one else thought to snap it up … [Read more...]
