Serendipity. Great word, right? It's the word that describes you getting a cake mix in a goody bag on the same day as your new teacup cupcake cases arrive. So, after a very busy weekend, Dimples and I got down to a bit of baking on Monday. After scanning the QR code, I discovered that my cake mix originated with Appliances Online's blog, where I also found the full ingredient list and instructions about a baking … [Read more...]
How to give a Cut Glass bowl a new look with Mod Podge and Spray Paint
You know how it is: you see an idea for milk glass using spray paint on one site, Source: homespunwithlove.blogspot.com via Jennifer on Pinterest then a post on how to colour glass using Mod Podge on another site Source: creativelittledaisy.typepad.com via Ashley on Pinterest and before you know it you are trawling your stash of Charity Shop purchases to see if you can combine the two processes … [Read more...]
Harvest Festival Horn of Plenty

But whilst I won't make it to the winners podium this evening I know that I could have been. Because I was nominated by someone , or many someones, who read this blog. I thought … [Read more...]
No-Bake Pumpkin “Cake-Pops” for Halloween
It's only a month until half-term and Halloween, which means it's time for me to start planning our Annual Pumpkin Party. I had an idea for a no-bake pumpkin cake-pop after seeing my daughters toast marshmallows on our last camping trip, so I wanted to test it out. I'm very pleased with my pumpkin cake-pops, and the Girls even more, because they can help make them. You need: marshmallows lollipop sticks orange candy melts, or … [Read more...]
