Things to do in Prague with children

things to do in prague with children

We spent Christmas in Prague this year and we've had a fabulous time. There was such a lovely festive atmosphere throughout the city, with Christmas markets, trees and decorations in every square, that it would have been enough just to wander aimlessly through the same squares every day. If you fancy doing a little more, or you aren't in Prague at Christmas, here are a few ideas for things to do if you are visiting the Czech capital with young … [Read more...]

Paper plate unicorn

decorate unicorn with stickers

To make a paper plate unicorn, you will need: a paper plate paper scraps (I used the outer cover of a magazine) stickers glue/sellotape First take your plate and fold the two sides in, so that you have a narrow end (the unicorn's mouth) and a wider end (forehead.) {Review} Sainsbury’s Sparkling: perfect for any time of year

Sainsburys Sparkling tasting

The people at Sainsbury's rescued me in the last week of term with an invitation to a tasting at their Head Office and testing kitchen. They also invited a few fantastic bloggers and my girl-crush Holly Bell ( cannot tell you how delighted I was that she sat next to me. Poor thing had no idea!) and plied us with a selection of their Sparkling wines, so my holiday was off to a great start. The thing about wines and sparkling is that so many … [Read more...]

How to make a quick hat for New Year’s Eve

easy New Years hats

There's such a big build up to Christmas that I always find New Year's Eve is overlooked, yet it is only seven days after Santa visits. We won't get back to the UK until just before New Year's so will need a few quick ideas for crafts to make to see in 2013. These hats are ideal: made from pipe cleaners and doilies they are the work of minutes. Simply cut a doily in half and form a cone. Thread a pipe-cleaner through the holes, attach to … [Read more...]

Swagbucks Christmas Challenge Winner

It will come as no surprise that I didn't win the SwagBucks Tots 100 Christmas Challenge. Wendy was the eventual victor with a staggering 19000 Bucks. If you are looking for tips, I suggest you read her blog for how she did it. Pippa did an incredible job too, nearly beating her to the £250 victory prize. She's another one to check out for tips on how to work the SwagBucks system. She's a regular on the SwagBucks Facebook page too. And … [Read more...]

Simple Paper Wreath craft

how to make a paper Christmas wreath

As we are in the Czech Republic, I needed some Christmas crafts that are easy to make and require minimal crafting 'stuff'. Paper wreaths are a re-working of the traditional paper lanterns and therefore couldn't be simpler. You simply take a sheet of green paper or card and fold in half length ways. Make a series of cuts along the folded edge towards the unfolded edge, parallel to each other, along the length of the paper. Cut almost … [Read more...]
