We are currently- as you will know if you follow the Domestic Goddesque Twitter or Instagram feeds- enjoying summer inside the Arctic Circle. I shall be more than a little sad to return to the craziness of daily life in the UK next weekend, as will my girls. But that pain will be eased by a trip to the theatre. Dora the Explorer Live will be in Bromley on 12th, 13th and 14th August 2013 and we have been invited to watch everyone’s … [Read more...]
Five products that make travelling easier this summer
1. Cheeky Shoes are the perfect travelling footwear: soft, comfortable and lightweight. Made from neoprene they also allow for foot swelling that you sometimes get on planes, and the fabric also keeps your feet warm in the temperature-controlled environment. I was sent a pair for review and have used them camping, travelling and also carried them in my handbag to replace heels at the end of a long evening. So impressed was I that I ordered a pair … [Read more...]
A Few Good Reads, July
Zoe and Beans: Hello Oscar- the fifth in the series of Zoe and Beans, this book is written by the brilliant children's illustrator Mick Inkpen and his daughter Chloe. It tells the story of a hole in the garden fence which is letting some very exotic creatures through. But where are they coming from. Dimples loves this book- the graphics, as with all Inkpen books, are fabulous and appealing to all ages, and the story-line really helps foster … [Read more...]
{Review} Fisher Price Little People: Big Discoveries

And my children of course. In the past we have … [Read more...]
Center Parcs adventure at Venture Cove, Elveden.
On the first day of our summer holiday The Girls and I were on the road before 8am, much like any other school day, and headed North to the wonders of Center Parcs Elveden. We had been invited in our capacity as Center Parcs Bloggers to test the amazing new pool facility for children, called Venture Cove. After a great lunch at Hucks- where we even got to chat with the other bloggers in attendance whilst the children were taken care of by some … [Read more...]
Beach and Shell Crafts: our July Interest Table
Our July Interest Table has a big beach theme at the moment: red striped paper reminiscent of Victorian Changing Tents, our latest Roll-a-Sandcastle pictures, a framed photograph I have of our feet in the sand when The Girls were smaller. We have some shells and I created a fake beach scene using blue tissue paper and sandpaper. The tissue paper packaged our message-in-a-bottle invitation to test out Venture Cove which is also on the table along … [Read more...]
I’m Dreaming of a White Company Christmas
"Mum, would you be able to pick up the children on Wednesday? It's The White Company?" "OhMyGodTheWhiteCompanyYouMustGoOfCourseIWillLookAfterTheChildren." That's how the conversation with The Mothership went about 30 seconds after I got the email inviting me to a Blogger Christmas In July event with The White Company a couple of weeks ago. It was right about the time that the weather started hotting up so I'm glad I elected not to wear my … [Read more...]
