You know something is good when it takes a few weeks for there to be any on the shelves when you want to buy it. I've been popping in to my local Sainsbury's and Waitrose regularly without success. To make it worse, all I kept reading from Utterly Scrummy Michelle was how fabulous the stuff was. I succeeded at last though and it was totally worth the wait. The Collective Gourmet Yogurt is made in the UK, though originally an idea of two New … [Read more...]
Djeco Velvet crafts
LBG was sent a couple of Djeco craft packs by Craft and Play some time ago. The sticker sets were used up almost immediately: what child doesn't adore stickers? The Colouring Velvet Birdz are designed for children slightly older than mine, and undoubtedly work best with felt tips, as the brighter colours show up best against the black velvet. LBG nevertheless enjoyed colouring in the gaps between the velvet and creating the pictures, and … [Read more...]
Toyella Magnatabs Giveaway
I am very annoyed to be hosting this giveaway for the lovely Carl at Toyella because it means that I will not be eligible to enter. Have you seen the Magnatabs toys before? How awesome are they? The Magnatabs are ideal for children at playgroup and early school year ages. Children can learn and practise handwriting using the tablet and magnetic pen. Ball bearings rise up when the pen passes over. The game is very fascinating and … [Read more...]
Mum’s The Work: Pickle Pie Review
The wonderful Ladies at Pickle Pie got in touch with me recently after I commented on how fabulous I thought their art was on Ellen's blog. I love it when that happens. Not only that but it turns out that Tracy and Sandra, the two women driving the Pickle Pie machine are Mums, and they are local. So they pretty much ticked three boxes at once: I'm very keen to support independent local business, particularly if it is run-by-Mums because I … [Read more...]
#Cybher 2012, MOO review and my day in business cards
If you tuned in recently, you'll know that I spent an entire day child-free at 8 Northumberland Avenue attending Cybher 2012. I collected Marianne on the way so that I didn't have to walk through the front door on my own. It was a good call, as it happened, because I swear she knew everyone. So I followed her around like a lapdog. And I got to meet some of my blogging idols, some people I'd heard of, and some people who hadn't existed to me … [Read more...]
Groupon
Groupon deals was launched in 2009 and feature discount deals in London and other UK cities on things like eating out, leisure activities, health and beauty and gifts to buy. A friend of mine swears by it and, after attending a cupcake-decorating workshop in London with her a few months ago, I can see the appeal. So when they got in touch with me asking if I wanted to run a Groupon giveaway, I was happy to oblige! Groupon are offering you the … [Read more...]
Pet Shop Bowl review
It's not a pet. Or a bowl. But it is a shop. An online shop selling, amongst other things, bowls for your pet. Petshopbowl.co.uk got in touch with Wonder Hound, via me of course, to ask if we'd care to review their delivery services. Bearing in mind that the Wonder Hound is the under dog in this household, and it's been a trying few weeks for her, having to cope with all the build work- the men, the lack of easy garden access, the doorbell going … [Read more...]
