The Bank holiday turned out to be a glorious weekend: good because I had a lot of mouths to feed. We had friends various over for most of the weekend so I needed to make our food shop go a long way. The Bank Holiday also heralded the start of a new, cheaper, Morrisons. They’ve cut the prices on over a thousand of your favourite products: these are new every day low prices on the things you buy every week. Although we’re cutting prices, … [Read more...]

My Honkopoly Day
It's always frustrating when you put so long into the planning of a fundraising event, promoting, recruiting and raising money for a cause, and then as the date approaches you find that you have unpredicted hurdles to jump. Tesco Mum of the Year 2014 Shortlist
My Saturday nights are taken up with watching Strictly Come Dancing. LBG, Dimples and I curl under the blanket on the sofa to be dazzled and amazed by the calibre of the dancing and the spectacle of the show, lighting and costumes. The bit that I like least is knowing that someone will get voted off: everyone works so hard on their routine and puts such effort in. I would hate to have to chose between two such dancers every week. I cannot imagine … [Read more...]
