May 2014

May 2014

  1. A day at Squerryes tasting their new Sparkling. There's still time to get tickets to the Squerryes Celebration on 20th and 21st June to taste it- and the amazing Westerham Brewery Beers, yourself. 2. Dimples and I picked up five new chooks: Kiev, Katsu, Korma, Cassie and Popcorn. 3. Lego with breakfast: Daddy returns from a week away at work with gifts! 4. We take a trip to Riverhill Gardens to check out the birthday party … [Read more...]

April 2014

April 2014

I've been taking a photo a day- Project 365- again this year, though publishing them in one-month-chunks. This is what April looks like. 1. Finally our Frozen DVD arrives! 2. One plait, one bunch. Never one to walk the path well-trodden, my little Dimpled One. 3. A well-loved, well-used apron. Given to me a long time ago by people who knew me better than I know myself. Domestic Goddess. 4. A trip to London to see the Vikings … [Read more...]

The last weeks of 2012: 366 update

It all got a bit hairy after term ended, with activities and illness and packing. So rather than writing it down, I'll let the pictures do that talking. This is what we did between December 16th and 31st 2012.  And the last two days of the year: … [Read more...]

366 Week 50

Did you see that? Week 50?? Even with my dreadful maths, that means that there are only two weeks left of the year. [insert expletives here] Sunday: I spent an enjoyable morning making roast chicken and decorating the Christmas Tree with the help of a few small people. All too soon, our friends were headed home and I was on the road back to Bromley and the last birthday party of the year. The Girls had a super time dancing (at least that's … [Read more...]

366 Week 49

Sunday: I'm not sure if it was quite dawn when DH and I were out on the street, inadequately dressed fir the cold in our pjs, videoing the children as they attempted to cycle for the first time. Later in the day we took a walk to the beach, had lunch at the Beach Cafe before heading back to the centre of Westgate-on-Sea for the annual Christmas Fair. We went on a ride, bought candy floss and won a couple of pink dogs on Hook-a-Duck so pretty much … [Read more...]

366 Week 48

Sunday: we drove out to Sevenoaks for a superb lunch at The White Hart. Shortly thereafter we cut short a walk at Knoll Park when the Wonder Hound disgraced herself. That's all I have to say about that. Monday: with LBG back to school, Dimples and I had to 'get stuff done' which went surprisingly well. I've given up pretending I do anything other than fall asleep at the Girls' bedtime, so my days are truncated. Tuesday: with … [Read more...]

366 Week 47

week 47

Sunday:  late-night walking incident left DH carrying the dog home sans collar so Girls and I indulged our inner Essex at the Pet Store. The Wonder Hound is now the blingiest dog in Bromley I shouldn't wonder. Being Girls we also made a few other purchases of shoes, craft stuff and storage: the Holy Trinity! Home to DH for lunch, a walk out along the sea front in the sunshine and then the regular drive back towards the Big Smoke. There wasn't an … [Read more...]
