We're enjoying a week of mixed weather in Suffolk. That hasn't stopped my Little Misses feeding lambs, feeding horses, feeding ducks (you get the idea) and generally relishing the sense of freedom they get by being at Potash Barns. The weekend was dominated by a bright dry day for an Easter Egg hunt: we are still slowly working our way through the stash of chocolate eggs, chicks, hens and bunnies. What we don't have is a goose. But the farm does. … [Read more...]

Desert Island Luxury
I'm a relative newcomer to Radio 4, and one of the programmes I wish I had discovered years ago is Desert Island Discs. It's a veritable institution that has been running since 1941. The premise of the show is that the Castaway chooses eight tracks that they simply couldn't be without, weaving stories of their life as they go. Project 366 Week Thirteen
Look away now if you have triskaidekaphobia! Our week began with me, bemused, looking at a the kitchen clock and trying to work out why it was running an hour faster than the clock on the microwave. I shouldn't have forced our house-guests into a Vodka tasting whilst watching Liam Neeson's Taken the night before! My poor Dimples seemed really under the … [Read more...]

Close is … [Read more...]
Project 366 Week Twelve
The week began the best way it possibly could have: woken by LBG, I was ordered to get back into my own bed as Daddy was making me breakfast. Twenty minutes later, I sat feeding my breakfast to The Girls whilst DH and I smiled at each other across the bed. There were presents, handmade cards, walks on the beach, All-Day-Breakfasts … [Read more...]
Rainbow Themed Birthday Party
A few weeks ago The Dimpled Assassin turned two. I don't mind telling you that there were points when I didn't think she was going to make it that long: she's a little kamikaze round the edges. But make it she did and to mark the occasion I threw an all-singing all-dancing Rainbow themed Birthday party I've been meaning to wrote about it for a while. Then Tara, Our Lady of Sticky-Fingers, declared this week to be Colour Week in The Gallery, and I … [Read more...]
