Did you see that? Week 50?? Even with my dreadful maths, that means that there are only two weeks left of the year. [insert expletives here] Sunday: I spent an enjoyable morning making roast chicken and decorating the Christmas Tree with the help of a few small people. All too soon, our friends were headed home and I was on the road back to Bromley and the last birthday party of the year. The Girls had a super time dancing (at least that's … [Read more...]
366 Week 49
Sunday: I'm not sure if it was quite dawn when DH and I were out on the street, inadequately dressed fir the cold in our pjs, videoing the children as they attempted to cycle for the first time. Later in the day we took a walk to the beach, had lunch at the Beach Cafe before heading back to the centre of Westgate-on-Sea for the annual Christmas Fair. We went on a ride, bought candy floss and won a couple of pink dogs on Hook-a-Duck so pretty much … [Read more...]
366 Week 48
Sunday: we drove out to Sevenoaks for a superb lunch at The White Hart. Shortly thereafter we cut short a walk at Knoll Park when the Wonder Hound disgraced herself. That's all I have to say about that. Monday: with LBG back to school, Dimples and I had to 'get stuff done' which went surprisingly well. I've given up pretending I do anything other than fall asleep at the Girls' bedtime, so my days are truncated. Tuesday: with … [Read more...]
366 Week 47
Sunday: late-night walking incident left DH carrying the dog home sans collar so Girls and I indulged our inner Essex at the Pet Store. The Wonder Hound is now the blingiest dog in Bromley I shouldn't wonder. Being Girls we also made a few other purchases of shoes, craft stuff and storage: the Holy Trinity! Home to DH for lunch, a walk out along the sea front in the sunshine and then the regular drive back towards the Big Smoke. There wasn't an … [Read more...]
366 week 46
I am not doing very well at the moment. My week has been bumbling along at the same frenetic pace as usual though. Which may be a good thing. The camera has stayed firmly in it's bag though, as it did last week, and I have been wholly dependent on Instagram. Sunday: Dreadful weather and a working husband chased The Girls and I to the soft play centre where, for the first time ever, I stayed in my shoes. They played happily together, … [Read more...]
366 week eleventy-one-hundred. I mean 45
Sunday: delighted though I was to be awake at 7am it was jolly chilly. We hung out whilst DH worked until at 3pm Dimples and I headed off to a birthday party. Leaving behind a tearful LBG, who was whisked off by DH to go swimming. Arriving back home at the same time The Girls were delighted to be reunited. It was a big night too: once they had been bathed, and our youngest had reverted from Hello Kitty to Dimpled Assassin, we had a job … [Read more...]
project 366 week 44.
Sunday: The Girls and I leave Daddy working in the Man Cave and head to Hyde Park to catch up with old school friends I haven't seen since my wedding. Our four girls had a ball. I wish we'd had longer to catch up. Historic moment when- for the first time in the four and a half years I have been a parent- my trip to London did not involve carrying a pushchair down the stairs at the station. We used the newly installed lift. I may have gone up and … [Read more...]
