As May comes to an end, so does the #SnapHappyBritMums Challenge that I have been taking part in. You can see my reponse to the daily photo prompts on my Facebook page. In other news, this has been the last week before half-term, which means we have all been trying to do too much in the little time we have before our Eurotunnel crossing on Saturday morning. DH is snowed under at work and we have barely seen him. The painters are trying to … [Read more...]
We have reached the #tippingpoint. Stop the Killing.
I'll be brief, because time is of the essence. There are people dying. More specifically, there are children dying. Children. My children are 2 and 4. If someone killed them you can bet your ass I would make it my life's work to hunt down the person who did it and revisit their crime upon them in as slow and fascinatingly painful a way as possible. Project 366, Week Twenty-One
Week 21 started well: The Girls and I headed up to town to watch A Monster in Paris with Granny and we had a fabulous time, but boy were we exhausted when we got home. They are currently redesigning Bromley South Station to include lifts and I tell you they cannot come soon enough: I've spent the past four years schlepping pushchairs up and down the stairs to the train and I will be so grateful not to have to do it any more. No doubt by the time … [Read more...]
Introduction to Art: Warhol and the Queen
Moving on from the last Introducing Art session, I thought that it would be good to do a project that would coincide with the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations this year, and in my cruising around Pinterest, this work by Hockney seemed to fascinate both of The Girls. So I spent some time one evening working out how we could recreate it. … [Read more...]
Announcing the BritMums Live 2012 Winner
*rolls drums* Congratulations to Mrs Johnson Babies, chosen with the help of Random.org this morning, and who may inadvertantly have concussed herself on hearing the news. I think she's pleased. If you are still hopeful of winning a ticket, then there are BritMums ticket … [Read more...]
