EdinburghAtoZ: an Instagram tour of our family visit to the Scottish Capital

We were in Edinburgh over Christmas. We shared the fun of our latest Home Exchange trip over on Instagram in the form of an #EdinburghAtoZ. If you missed it, then I have compiled the images here so that you can see what a fun place Edinburgh is to visit at any time of year.

Edinburgh with children an EdinburghAtoZ

A is for Arthur’s Seat.

B is for Bagpipes. They sound less unpleasant North of the Border.

C is for Cobbles.

D is for Drambuie. Or a dram of something else.

E is for Edinburgh Castle.

F is for Fried. When in Scotland….

G is for Greyfriar’s Bobby.

H is for Haggis. In every flavour imaginable.

I is for Innis and Gunn.

J is for Jenners. The famous department store.

K is for Kilt.

L is for Local Currency.

M is for Museum. There are lots.

N is for National Gallery.

O is for Ocean Terminal. Bluewater by the sea.

P is for Parliament. Unexpectedly unusual design.

Q is for Queen: Mary Queen of Scots.

R is for Royal Mile.

S is for Saltaire. Flying at half-mast for the people of Glasgow.

T is for Tour Bus. Total value for money.

U is for Usher Hall. Concert Hall and venue.

V is for Volcanic Rock.

W is for William Wallace. “Freedom!”

X is for Xmas Market. The best we’ve been to.

Y is for Yacht Britannia. Strongly recommended.

Z is for Zoetrope. Seen at the Museum of Childhood. And the reason the #EdinburghAtoZ became a ‘thing’ in the first place.
