January Stationery

I’m undoubtedly showing my age, or my fondness for Radio 2, but since I wrote the words January and Stationery, I keep humming this Barbara Dickson song.

Which has no relevance at all.

January arrives with a burst of enthusiasm and a determination to “organise my life”. Which is why I change the goal posts and switched my beginning of year from January to September. My Quo Vadis diary is working brilliantly, on the kitchen table.

But my computer, my desk and my blog are in a different room. Last year I bought a desktop planner from Paperchase which has worked very well for blog planning, making notes from phone calls and plotting my world domination. But I needed a replacement.

Paperways desk planner review #stationerywednesday

Handily for me, Bureau Direct stock a weekly desk pad, (not to mention several other desk pads) a by a South Korean brand called Paperways and oh my goodness am I happy with it.

Firstly, it is yellow. Since I was a teenager I have had a fascination with the legal pads you see on American legal programmes. Totally loving it.

Secondly, it is graph paper. Again, I have always had a thing for graph paper, squared paper, and so on. I prefer writing on narrow-lined paper generally so I am certain that it has something to do with this.

Finally it is has enough room on each day for you to scribble away to your heart’s content. The day is broken into time slots which I have no real use for but it means that I can make essential family notes at the top then leave space beneath for other notes and to-dos that need transferring to the diary.

The pad has 50 pages, which panicked me immensely. After all there are 52 weeks in a year. But given that the sheets are not printed with months and dates, you can fill them in as you go and I know that we will be away on holiday for at least six weeks this year. So in reality then 50 sheets are more than enough.

It also doubles as a mouse mat so is an absolute bargain at £8.99.

Get yours now- you’ll still have time to use all those pages.

And don’t forget to sign up now to the weekly Bureau Direct email– bringing the hottest, coolest and most colourful stationery to your inbox every Wednesday- and get your exclusive discount code every month! Make stationery your New Year’s Resolution.

You have such beautiful handwriting! I’m afraid mine would just defile the pretty paper.. I do try and jot down to do lists everyday, or else everything just goes to hell 😉

You have such lovely handwriting. That pad does look awfully useful too – I wish I’d had something like that when all the children were younger.

Oh bless you both Nickie and The May Fairy. I confess that’s my messy handwriting. But I thank you greatly.

That made us smile – you’ll have time to use up all those weeks still !! Great to see it in use and that you are enjoying it. And is that a Herbin that we spotted in a photo as well?
