Last Year I made a printable version of what had previously been handwritten: I would ask the children their favourite things, and write them down in a book, to go with the random memories I had added throughout the year. You can see the 2013 Year in Review printable here.
It’s been a busy year here a DG Cottage: we’ve been learning to adapt to life in the country. I’ve have done the school run in floods for the first time- terrifying- and ultimately the cause of a new car purchase in the summer. In fact we’ve both had to replace our cars.
Our chicken numbers dropped down to 2 but are back up to 7, though they live in two separate camps in the vegetable patch. This was a big year too for Dimples, who started full time school in September, and for LBG who overcame Performance Anxiety to compete in Sports Day and to sing a solo in the her last Nativity. DH turned 40 and took up archery. Nothing much changed for me of course, though I believe I burnt less in the Aga than I have ever done.
The house gained a newly painted front door with matching mailbox makeover. And most exciting of all, it now boasts a half-finished en-suite and dressing room. There will be more makeovers in the New Year and then hopefully we can enjoy our fully renovated home for a while. I look forward to sharing it with you!
As 2014 comes to a close, I have updated last year’s model to create the 2014 Year in Review printable below. I’ve added a couple of extra questions now The Girls are bigger but kept the format.
I’ve included an image but you should just need to click the link to the Dropbox folder and download. Let me know if you have any issues!
Here’s hoping all your dreams come true in 2015.

I think you should take up archery. Keep the chickens in line…
