Summer Fun with Sylvanian Families

We’re almost halfway through our #60DaysofSummer in the DG house. You can follow the fun via the Domestic Goddesque Instagram Account and see what we get up to.

No surprise that with two months to fill I leapt at the chance to add to our growing Sylvanian colony.

In no time at all the Chocolate Rabbit Family arrived on our doorstep eager to explore their new home. And they brought furniture too so there was no need for sleeping bags.

Sylvanian Families Review

Don’t you love the little brown-tipped ears? I adore the styling of all the Sylvanians.

Now, whilst Mother and Father were entertained in the sitting room by the other families, Missy unpacked her Girls Bedroom Set  in her new room at the top of the house. Her garret is the perfect place for practising her beloved piano and writing in her diary. She has the cutest little lamp and her Mamma often catches her reading late into the night by that light, tucked up in her pretty pink PJs.

Sylvanian Chocolate Rabbit Family Review

My girls adore the Sylvanian range. They love creating families and stories and scenarios. They love decorating, furniture arranging, making sure that all their friends are comfortable in their seaside home. It’s a great range to have- by which I mean putting the piano in the bathroom so you can listen to music whilst you bathe. And we will no doubt store the whole set safely in the attic for visitors, and grandchildren, when ours have grown out of it. Though given the ever-changing range, that may be a long time hence!

As a parent though, I do wish that the clothes were easier to get on and off, or impossible to get off at all. It drives me nuts.

Now if you are a fan of Sylvanians, check out the fantastic competition running until 31st August 2014. They are offering a £1,000 Forest Holiday prize for the best photograph of Sylvanian Families enjoying their summer adventures. Check out the Sylvanian Family Website for full details. And have a great #SylvanianSummer
