Father’s Day is cruising towards us, something The Girls are delirious with joy about since they are looking forward to our Now Annual (ie: we did it last year and they insist it must be repeated) Father’s Day Camping Trip. Our week in Holland over half-term has at least proved that camping is fun in all weathers.
It got me to thinking about what they should make for Father’s Day- again another tradition repeated for Father’s and Mother’s Day each year. We have in the past made an eclectic blend of things, some of which are still in daily use.
1. Hand-decorated handkerchiefs. Quick, easy and accessible even for the smallest child.
2. Art-decorated chocolate bar. Again easy even for the least crafty person, and a great use of children’s art.
3. Duct tape credit card or travelcard holder. Still going strong, this is DH’s most favourite gift.
4. Superhero apron. Granted this was mostly my work, and it helps that DH’s name starts with Superman “S” but it was easy to make from felt scraps and a plain apron.
5. Try using an old tie to make a snake bookmark. You don’t even need a sewing machine.
6. This Putting Set is made from a jar lid and some air-drying clay. Perfect for Daddy’s desk.
This year though we may just keep it simple and write to Daddy telling him why we love him so. I made two Free Father’s Day Printables for you to download: one is large so better for framing whilst the smaller one would be great when printed on a card or something similar.

Thank you for including us in your round-up! I’m still unsure what we’ll be doing this year for Father’s Day, but now I have some craft for thought ๐
