11 Christmas Expletives that should keep you on Santa’s Good List

I read a post on Facebook the other day which implies that those who use swear words are more honest and trustworthy. I don’t know if that is true of me, though I do use quite a few profanities in daily life. But over the festive period I have found that I need greater restraint at a time which is intrinsically more stressful and swear-word inducing.

So to spare the embarrassment of inappropriate swearing moments, I have asked a few bloggers to suggest their favourite Festive Themed Expletive. Print the list off and keep it handy for when you burn the turkey/overcook the potatoes/can’t get into the kids’s toy packaging/forget the batteries to make the blessed thing work.

Elf Off is my current favourite.

Oh Santa!-www.boorooandtiggertoo.com

Fluffing baubles – www.trouble-doubled.blogspot.co.uk

Jingle balls www.Tiredmummyoftwo.co.uk

Santa also fits nicely for Christmas Eve shopping/road range incidents. http://www.catsyellowdays.com/

Eclefechan (as in the tart) – covers most things. www.cheetahsinmyshoes.com

I don’t give a flying fairy! www.mummyfromtheheart.com

Farking iceholes www.mummybarrow.com

I have been known to say figgy pudding instead of a naughty word at this time of year www.frugalfamily.co.uk

Oh (snow) balls!!! Www.Mummymishaps.co.uk

Bust my baubles. www.mummycentral.com

There are more Festive Expletive suggestions on the blog too.

And Merry Christmas, one and all.

Ha ha! Thanks for the smiles and the ideas – I think I probably need to substitute a few of these for the not so seasonal versions that slip out occasionally!
