If you look around at the moment, there are a profusion of poppies, not in the meadows but on lapels and radiator grills and Facebook Profiles. We are but 6 days from Remembrance Day next Monday, with Remembrance Sunday falling the day before.
My children are not the only ones asking about the significance of the pretty red flowers, so I’ve compiled a list of 15 Poppy Crafts for Remembrance Day.
Meet the Dubiens has a wonderful Poppy Snack which looks beautiful.
Krafty Kid has a beautiful Red Paper Poppy for your children to make
House of Baby Piranha used hands to print their poppy
Taming the Goblin uses store-bought poppies for a Remembrance Day Activity.
You can make a simple Poppy wreath from Red Crepe Paper
Or use tissue paper to make Pin on Poppies as A Thrifty Mum has done
Life at the Zoo baked some lovely Red Poppy Biscuits
The Learning Curve made Poppy Potato Prints with her class
Pumpkin Patch Kids Blog made very effective poppies from Red Cupcake Cases
I love the Egg Carton Poppy Wreath No Time For Flashcards made

My Buddies and I used red handprints to make poppies
And if none of those ideas are what you are looking for, search my Remembrance Day Crafts board for masses of poppy-themed craft ideas, as well as doves, soldiers and other ways of remembering the fallen.

What an amazing site. I am currently running a charity shop lovely thoughts on ways we can reuse some items. Now just need to find some time to create!

I always feel put to shame reading craft posts. I really want to make cute lovely things with my kids but seriously – where do people find the time and energy for all these things? These are very cute though. Love the cookies.
I thought the biscuits were fabulous too @NOtFromLapland π
I’d never have thought of biscuits @Maggy!
I thought it was fabulous @Jenny, but yours was great too- and uses paper plates which are one of my favourite crafty materials.
Thanks for including me. The egg carton wreath is inspired!
