What can you pack in a Playaway Case?

Half-term in our house means House Swap, so we are readying ourselves for a trip to The Continent to spend some family time together. The older that The Girls get the easier it becomes to make ready. They insist on choosing their special things to go into their special suitcases, which Β I discovered last year at the Baby and Toddler Show.

After I wrote the last post about the PlayAway Case, I had a couple of questions about what you could really pack into them. The website says that you can fit all you need into the case for a week, but it’s only the size of hand-luggage, and there’s a lift-out section. Does that compromise your packing? I figured the best thing to do would be to show you what I packed.

what's in the PlayAway Case

And it goes a little like this:

3 pairs socks + 1 pair of thick welly socks.

3 pairs pants

2 vests

2 pairs of tights

3 pairs of leggings

2 skirts

1 pair of shorts ( not optimism: she wears them over tights)

3 long sleeved t-shirts

1 short sleeved t-shirt

1 swimsuit

1 sweater

1 coat

1 pair of shoes

1 torch

1 packaway doll-in-a-bag

3 reading books

1 toilet bag containing toothbrush, toothpaste, flannel, hairbrush and bobbles

Lift-out bag:

In addition to the items that are included: a dice for the game that is printed on the lift-out hole, a set of crayons and colouring book, a set of cards, I also packed:

2 sticker-based workbooks

1 reading book

1 doctor’s set

1 packet of Squinkies (if you haven’t had the joy, don’t rush!)

I packet of biscuits and juice box

So there you go. You can pack enough for a week’s holiday for a three-year-old in a PackAway Case.

Disclosure: we were sent a PackAway Case for the purposes of writing this post. But I think it’s useful to see what we managed to fit in the case.Β

Impressive packing and fab cases. Wait until they’re teenagers though – my fifteen your old needs a bag that size just for her make-up and toiletries!

My twins would adore their own suitcases but I must admit their packing does need supervising otherwise we end up with all toys and no clothes πŸ˜‰

My OH moans terribly at me for taking everything but the kitchen sink when we go away! My girls have Trunki’s but they are outgrowing them so this looks like a great alternative x Thanks for sharing.

Personally I try to wash every day @Monika :P. If you mean laundry then yes, I do laundry. Dimples is only 3 and prefers to change her clothes throughout the day to go with her mood…..#sigh
