Since we first saw our house before the summer, DH and I have been daydreaming about what the rooms would look like when we had them decorated to our tastes, and we started with the master bedroom. I suspect that this is partly because it needs a significant amount of work tho transform it from the study that it once was into the Master Suite we have always dreamed of. This, in turn, means that it is likely to be the last room standing.
I have been pinning images for some time on my Ideas. Interiors. board, which helped us decide on the seemingly popular grey-on-grey colour scheme that is neither too masculine or too girlie and timeless in a I-plan-never-to-decorate-again way. And then I found my perfect bed from BettaLiving and it is now sitting in boxes in the spare room (Granny’s room as the girls prefer to call it) awaiting construction.
But our bedroom is currently red: red walls, red carpet, dark wood and a very large chimney breast. What I adore is the beams that cross the room, and the white vaulted ceiling. When I lie in bed at night I can picture how beautifully the will work with the grey-on-grey scheme. I came up with a ‘mood board’ to help DH see my vision.

It is gorgeous. I can so visualise how well the grey will go too.

So pleased you like it @pinkoddy. I’m still waiting for my dream bedroom- builder not yet free- but I am so excited about it. Hope yours goes well!
We are in the process of planning our bedroom makeover and have also chosen greys and silvers, it has a bit of ‘hotel chic’ about it and feels very calming. But first of all we need to find a decent bed as ours is beyond rubbish 🙁
I will absolutely help you @alice. Though I suspect you actually need very little help!
That looks gorgeous, I really love the grey. Very classy! That bird cushion and the blanket is bloody epic. When I move house can you come round and sort out my interior design, please?! x
