Kids Capture The Colour

I happened to be online when Mammasaurus’ post about Travelsupermarket’s Kids Capture the Colour competition went live and was delighted to be sent a free camera for LBG to take her very own pictures to enter in the competition.

As a child of a blogger she is very used to not eating until I have instagrammed her food, or posing with a product for a review photograph, or just turning around to find her Mamma with a camera in her face, recording every moment of her childhood lest it evaporates before she is ready for her little girl to grow up.

To be honest using the camera was a little challenging: small hands find it quite hard to grip cameras and press the button without getting a good deal of wobble, but she thoroughly enjoyed the process and has really taken to picture taking. I regularly find her- camera in hand- muttering: ‘natural light’ ‘fill the frame’ and ‘hold it steady’ as she snaps away at things that inspire her.

She took the pictures featured, as well as getting her props together for the white ‘composition’. I edited them to add the text and adjust the size. Some were taken on the camera, and some on my phone.

Well she’s certainly filled the frame! I keep meaning to do this – the kids would both love it and Bug has one of those chunky Kidizoom cameras so he’s perfectly capable

I was tempted by one of those cameras @actuallymummy but seemed to have bypassed it now thanks to Kids Capture The Colour!

Ah loving here skillz! I love them all – amazing to see photos taken by a child, I even used to do a linky of such photos ages ago – though Kitty took too many dodgy double chin photos of me from hideous angles !!
    Thanks for joining in x
