Royal Baby Card Craft: fingerprint babies

To celebrate the impending arrival of the world’s most famous baby- check out the #royalbabywatch online- Β The Girls and I have been dipping our fingers in paint and making a Royal Baby Card craft.

They have always been mad about Will and Catherine and still play with my cork Royal Couple regularly, so the news that there would be a Royal Baby means they have been playing Royal Babies for the past few weeks. It was a natural progression, given their fondness for ‘making a card’ to make a card to celebrate the arrival of the Royal Baby.

They are incredibly simple too: just dip your thumb in some flesh-coloured paint then print onto a white background. Leave to dry and add some detail. You can make a sleepy baby, a happy baby or a bawling baby: the choice is yours!

Royal Baby Card

Top British Designer Wayne Hemingway has done a similar thing only his Royal Baby card- with fabulous cut-out design- is hoping to get the Guinness World Record for the number of e-signatures. Software giants Adobe are hoping to get over 50000 people to go to the website and join in congratulating Will and Kate on their precious new baby.

So check it out and sign and you could be a World Record Holder!

*Disclosure: I have received compensation for telling you about the World Record Attempt. The fingerprint babies were my own idea and I had already planned to publish them.*

Thanks MummyNeverSleeps- my children are fascinated by all the coverage. I think they do expect the child to be born wearing a crown!

They are just too cute! These would be a great baby card idea for siblings to welcome newborns into their own family, too!
