On the first day of our summer holiday The Girls and I were on the road before 8am, much like any other school day, and headed North to the wonders of Center Parcs Elveden. We had been invited in our capacity as Center Parcs Bloggers to test the amazing new pool facility for children, called Venture Cove.
After a great lunch at Hucks- where we even got to chat with the other bloggers in attendance whilst the children were taken care of by some of the fabulous Time Out Club team- we headed across to the Pool facility where we gathered in our swimmers at a secret door.
Through the other side of the door is a magical world of splash pads and slides, waterfalls and tipping buckets, all designed for the under twelves, and with plenty of seating for families to watch their children running around like crazy. There are not enough superlatives to tell you how awesome the DG family thought that our time in the pool was. We plunged down every slide- and some of them are very fast indeed- and ran through the plunging water, finding tunnels tucked under waterfalls. The girls weren’t that interested in the fabulous toddler water table with dams and channels, but they running through the many jets of water shooting up from the ground.
Our favourite bit by far was the flumes. There are three of them- each with a different coloured light on the inside, and each with a different path so although they end at the same spot, the journey to them is very different. The blue ride was Dimples’ favourite- it just goes around and around, but the most popular one was the multi-coloured channel, which immediately took me back to the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film- travelling down a stripey flume just made me feel like I was inside the chocolate factory and enjoying all that it had to offer.
So with Venture Cove. As The Girls said later: “Best Day Ever”.
*Disclosure: we were invited for the day to test Venture Cove as Center Parcs Bloggers. All opinions are our own.*

I loved it Blue Bear!
Ok now I want to go and play on the water slides – sadly I’ll have to wait for my two to get a little bigger but it looks like so much fun
it was lots of fun CarieMay. I imagine that even with younger children it’s fun, but I guess you’d get most from it if they can walk themselves? I was testing with some people who had younger children….Patch of Puddles was one. Try and see what she thought.
oooh that looks amazing. We haven’t been to Center Parcs for years, but I really want to try Elveden now. x
