DH’s Day: Father’s Day 2013

The year has gone by so fast since I wrote my last Father’s Day post bigging up DH for his supreme Fathering skills. It’s a year that has seen him arrange a dozen home exchanges, including the most amazing trip to Arizona. We spent Christmas in Prague and are off to spend summer half-term in Italy. In between times there has been Indoor Camping, outdoor camping, Center Parcs and a whole lot of family time down at the Beach House.

There are big changes afoot this month at DG Manor. Outside the red front door- which has sported a dozen wreaths in that time- there is a For Sale sign. We are taking a step towards realising DH’s dreams. We are all jolly excited: the biggest demonstration of our love for him and all that he does for us.

But whilst trying to sell our house, find a new house and new schools for The Girls, life still goes on. DH goes to London daily, making us proud with all his achievements. He comes home and helps with homework. He lets me have a lie-in every weekend. He leads by example. He is the head of our family and the very heart of us all.

Fathers Day

Happy Father’s Day my darling. We love you more than you will ever know.
