Vitamix-ologist

I’m a little excited.

I got an email last week offering me the chance to host my own Margarita party with Vitamix. I received it just as I had spent 24 hours awake looking after two ill small children and if I’d have had the Vitamix right there I’d have whipped up a cocktail to celebrate. There’s nothing that makes you feel better about wearing your pjs for a day and a half than a party to plan.

Now I know very little about the Vitamix, other than what I have read on line. I’m really looking forward to testing it out. And I’ll need to test it: I need to check that it really does blend icy-cool cocktails, pulverise fruits and melt chocolate. Perhaps even at the same time.

Some details are already sorted, like location: DG Manor and theme: cocktails and board games.

But I can give thought to some others whilst I wait impatiently for the delivery man to arrive.

1. Cocktails: what should I serve? My favourite cocktail is a Bramble, but not everyone likes Gin.

2. Nibbles: just savoury or sweet as well? And nibble-sized or I-came-out-without-eating-size?

3. Decorations? Yay or nay? It’ll be a school night Β so if I do them, they’ll need to be easy.

4. Games: what do you recommend? Board Games are a bit retro but great fun and ideal for a relaxed evening.

If you have any suggestions, tweet me @domesticgoddesq, or leave a comment. You can also follow my Party: Vitamix board on Pinterest to see what ideas I’ve had.

*disclosure: Vitamix will be giving me a Vitamix for the purpose of hosting my cocktail party. They have not paid for this post.*

You lucky lui cky lady. I was drooling over the Vitamix last year at BritMums, i was amazed at what they could do. I have a food blender at home which i use loads cut the Vitamix is SO much more than a blender you will have lots of fun i am sure.

As for your party, i would go for a small selection of cocktails and mocktails, create your own recipe πŸ™‚

Nibbles, keep them small and you can eat more without feeling guilty.

    Games; yeah!! Its a party!!!

Decorations, of course! Your girls are fab at crafts so let them be the creative directors πŸ™‚

Thanks Mummy Matters: I was a Little shocked but quite excited. And I love the idea of getting Girls to help with the decor πŸ˜€
