Red Ted Art wrote a book!

Two years ago I got a tweet from Red Ted Art asking if I wanted to do a guest post on her blog. I remember the moment clearly because I laid the laptop down and ran around the sitting room squealing. DH was none the wiser when I tried to tell him that the Red Ted wanted me. Not only had she heard of me, but she’d got in touch and she wanted me.

Fast forward to this evening as he just shrugged when I told him I was having a hangout with Maggy from Red Ted and some other UK bloggers. She’s one of my best blogging friends and I am so delighted that she got in touch all that time ago.

And what is really, really exciting is that- at last- someone has recognised her prodigious talent and love of recycled materials and has published her first book: Red Ted Art Cute and Easy Crafts for Kids. Another squeeeeee moment for Maggy and all who know her!

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy ahead of publication next week and I have to tell you that it is a lovely book. Beautifully crafted with clear instructions and beautiful vibrant pictures that assure you that the 60 crafts are simple and achievable. It’s the kind of book you want to have in your home for rainy day inspiration, or to give to similarly minded friends. It’s the kind of book you will need to hide from your children so that they don’t get carried away and want to make absolutely everything in the book RIGHT NOW!

If you hurry over to the Red Ted blog, you have a chance to win a copy of the book ahead of the release date on 28th March.

disclosure: I received a copy of the book for the purposes of writing this post*
