So Sunday is Mother’s Day. Unsurprisingly Brother Adam has done nothing about it, which is fair enough. He is, after all, a bloke, and it was only Mum’s birthday on Thursday so that’s a lot of present in a short space of time. With that in mind, I have put together a list of some lovely things I have found around the web that I my Mum- any Mum- would love to receive this Mother’s Day.
You can never go wrong with a bag and I am very taken with this beautiful leather bag from an unexpected source: the London Transport Museum. Isn’t it gorgeous and blue and perfect for spring? (NB: someone mention this to DH would you?)
Whilst the sun is shining today it’s been pretty cold around these parts lately: what could be better than a hug in a box? Handpicked Collection package up all you need to enjoy a lovely warming hot chocolate.
And speaking of chocolate, did you know that Hotel Chocolat sell beauty products? Made from Cocoa Butter, they actually don’t smell of chocolate at all but a really zesty, uplifting blend of green tea, bergamot and lime. I tested this yesterday in store and my hands smelled divine all day. I love their beauty box: perfect for Mum. By which I mean me.
I collect Midwinter Hawaii, thanks to Vintage Mix. Any piece to add to my collection would be appreciated. I bet your Mum collects something: add to her collection and bank those brownie points!
If you’ve been on your feet all day working, commuting or chasing after small children, then something that takes care of your toes is a great gift. Cashmere socks keep them cosy and are soft and comforting, and perfect for winter nights.
I know very few people who wouldn’t appreciate chocolates for Mother’s Day. And Ferrero Rocher have the dearest little heart-shaped box of chocolates that won’t break the budget.*
Every mum loves something home-made for Mother’s Day. Why not bake her a cake: Abel and Cole has a Cake-Making Kit that is perfect even for the novice Baker.
Scarves are great to bring the changes to any outfit, cover up the child-induced stains on your clothes and keep you warm. I adore this pretty hummingbird scarf.
Moments to yourself are few and far between as a parent and a bath is such a luxury. A really great gift would be the ‘Inner Strength’ Bath & Shower Oil from Aromatherapy Associates. Formulated by the Co-Founder whilst she was being treated for cancer, the oil is formulated to give the user strength, courage and a positive frame of mind. Not only that but 10% of all sales go towards helping pioneer new cancer vaccine treatment. Hope and help in one bottle.*
And if you are really pushing the boat out this Mother’s Day, what about getting the kids taken care of so mum can really enjoy some down time? The hotels featured by Luxury & Little Ones all go out of their way to take care of your kids so that you can enjoy your luxurious surroundings!

Great ideas – I showed them to the OH, which reminded him to get a card!

Result! Shame there was no gorgeous bag but at least you got a card!
Oh yes, mother’s day is not a universal date. Your post is coming early for us in the states…so it gives me plenty of time to go through your thoughtful list and select the perfect gift for my mom. Happy early mother’s day to you!
I don’t understand why it is that way Amy. That said, we celebrate World Book Day ahead of the rest of the World too 😀 Thank you for your good wishes
