How to make a bird’s nest

Take one just-three-year-old and wrap well.

how to make a birds nest kids craft

Tear coffee filters or tissue paper or indeed kitchen roll, into strips.

Apply insane amounts of glue to your plastic bowl (ours was one half of a giant Lindor ball that we got at Christmas)

Apply strips of paper.

Apply glue, then paper, then glue until you are exhausted.

Leave to dry whilst child exhausts themselves doing whatever it is that three-year-olds do best.

Once dry, paint sludge brown.

Using yet more glue, weld small sticks to the brown gloopy bowl.

Leave to dry once again.

Fill with more small sticks, some eggs and a bird.

Don’t forget to remove wrapping from small child or your house will be stained brown forever.
