Egg carton Easter Nest and Lindt Bunnies

A couple of weeks ago, The Girls and I were making Mother’s Day flowerpots from egg cartons. They are super easy to make and so we had a few left over, which I have ‘reinvented’ as Easter nests that we can give to friends’ children over the Easter period.

The brilliant thing is that these egg carton ‘nests’ or ‘burrows’ are just the right size for the little Lindt bunnies that are on sale this time of year. The Girls were recently sent their very own- larger- Lindt chocolate bunny, complete with bell, to enjoy.

And enjoy it they did. I love the weight of the Lindt chocolate animals: you really get a sense of the good quality chocolate, not to mention value for money. And then there’s the minimal packaging: when some eggs come wrapped in mountains of cardboard, it’s nice to find an Easter gift that isn’t going to fill the recycle bin quicker than I can fill the laundry bin. And then there’s the cuteness factor. Which is off-the-scale MASSIVE. It comes with a ribbon and bell for goodness sake. That’s practically giving my girls a bracelet right there.

Happiness? A Lindt Bunny.

Especially if it comes in a little egg carton burrow πŸ˜€

*disclosure: we were provided with two Lindt Bunnies and an Easter Egg for the purposes of writing this post. All opinions are our own.*
