February Discovery Table: Hearts

So, February’s Discovery table focuses on the big event this month: Valentine’s Day.

February Heart Discovery Table

There are three red table-coverings of differing pattern and texture. We made cinnamon apple sauce hearts after seeing them on Lulastic’s blog and have hung them with baker’s twine on our twig tree. The Girls convinced me to buy various hanging birds in the post-Christmas decoration sale which now hang there too.

When I made my heart mobile, I also made quick heart bunting which is strung across the mirror.

There are heart-shaped chocolate boxes I saved from last year. Red poppies and fake rose petals, fairy lights and other red toys.

The books have a love-related theme, and there are a couple that are open on the shapes and colour pages.

Thank you. Discovery tables are quite self-indulgent but the Girls love them too.

It’s so deliciously girly, I love it. You’ve gone to a lot of effort with it.
