All you need to do is register by 7th December for your Gourmet Garden goodies, then get cooking! Blog about how you make your everyday cooking more delicious by adding herbs and spices, and you could be in with a chance of a live cook-off in London, in front of one of Britain’s best loved chefs.
Not only that, but the winning blogger will get whisked off to Australia’s Sunshine Coast, to attend the Gourmet Garden International Bloggers Conference in May 2013 (including 5 nights accommodation)and a professionally produced video of you cooking. You’ll also get a 12-month ambassador partnership with Gourmet Garden, valued at £3,000.
I used the Thai Blend to make a no-fuss Thai Chicken Curry dish in the slow cooker:
300g chicken breast, diced
1 onion, finely chopped
1 can coconut milk
1 cup basmati rice
1 tbsp Rice wine
1/2 tube Gourmet Garden Thai Fresh Blend
1 tsp Fish sauce
200g green beans
Put the chicken, onion and rice in the slow cooker.
Add the coconut milk, then fill the empty can with water and add that to the pot as well. Bung in the fish sauce, rice wine and Thai spice blend, as well as a stock cube.
Stir and cook on high for 2 hours.
Stir and add green beans then cook for another 30 minutes.
Serve in a bowl and eat the comforting Thai-style curry with a spoon.
