{Review} Handpicked Collection

It’s simple: the Handpicked Collection does exactly what it says it will. It provides you with things that have been handpicked for you. Things you will love, covet and add to your Christmas List. Things that you didn’t know you wanted. Things you didn’t know existed.

Like the Bouffadou.

bouffadou fire starter

bouffadou fire starter: you have no idea how challenging it is to get a good photograph of what looks like a long steel pipe.

Yes, it sounds like the punch-line to a joke. If you believe that, then the joke is on you. Because if you have a real fire, you need a real fire starter.

And the Bouffadou has been used to start French fires since, well, for a very long time. And now we know why. Because it is awesome, Monsieur. And I gave it the ultimate test, by letting my monsieur give it the once-over. And he- begrudgingly– confirmed what I already knew: the Bouffadou was Handpicked for him.

Handpicked Foodstore Salmon

Indeed Handpicked Collection scored Gold and Silver in the ‘Impress-Monsieur-DG-Awards’ because they have branched out into food. And the Handpicked Foodstore is every bit as fabulous as their sister store. They sent him some delicious smoked salmon to try. He even remembered to share it with me.

*disclosure: we were sent a Bouffadou and sample of smoked salmon for the purposes of writing this review. All opinions are our own.

Many thanks for letting me know – I’ll check this with Pablo. We’re very sorry that our courier caused problems – we’ll have a look at what went wrong and see if we can learn anything from it. Our sincere apologies again and sending best wishes, Natasha

    Dear Mrs Theyer
I’ve just seen your comment and can’t bear that you’ve had a bad time ordering with us. I’ve tried searching for you on our system but can’t find your details. I’d be really grateful to be able to be in touch to find out what’s gone wrong here – could you perhaps post an order number so that I can find your information and contact you directly? Our sincere apologies in the meantime. Best wishes Natasha Cubitt

I have at last received my delivery, I called customer services once again this morning no joy they could only take a message, eventually after posting on their Facebook site I got a call back from Pablo, he was helpful and gave me my consignment number. I am taking the matter up with Citylink, the problem appears to have been theirs

Hand picked are an awful company they take your money and don’t deliver the goods, you can’t get to talk to anyone who can deal with the problem. Don’t use them

I’m sorry to hear that, Mrs Theyer. I’ve never had an issue with them but I will pass on your comment.
