Center Parcs Challenge: design a water ride

This month Center Parcs and the Tots 100 are challenging us– and you- to come up with our dream Water Ride, ahead of the launch of the world first water ride later this month at Elveden Forest.

Our girls are really enjoying the swimming that they are doing lately, and over breakfast one morning, they and DH pooled ideas. I drew the short straw, literally, as I was in charge of translating them to paper.

This is what we came up with:

Center Parcs water ride competition entry

I give you the Ice Flow. Based on a soft drink, you enter the rid via the bendy straw, climbing steps that have transparent viewing panels into the water so that you can watch the action whilst you wait. At the top, you grab an ice-cube and ride the curly-wurly straw down into the water below. Using the lemon wedge steps to exit, you can slide down the other side into a smaller plunge pool, or join the queue to ride again.

I’m not eligible to win the weekend break, but you could. All you have to do is  get painting and sticking and show them the water ride your family would love to ride. When you’re done just send a tweet to @tots100 and @CenterParcsUK, linking to your blog post and include the hashtag #CPFamilyBreaks. This month’s challenge closes at 4pm on 30th November so make sure you get creative before then!

The Tots 100 website has full details.

That is genius! I would love to have a go on that ride! Maybe they could create a bar on the side with a cocktail umbrella roof to it?
