Sunday: the weather isn’t that spectacular and Daddy has to work so whilst LBG is at a friend’s birthday party, Dimples and I build a castle from our Clever Box Club package. Monday: after school, The Girls work on our Horn-of-Plenty project, which LBG takes into school for show and tell on Thursday. Tuesday: LBG has a school trip postponed due to the weather. Ironically the sun shines on the school run and Dimples needs her shades. Wednesday: Uncle Adam is drafted to babysit whilst DH and I celebrate a friends’ engagement, but not until The Girls have a little one-on-one with our new lacrosse set. Dimples has been desperate to play crossing ever since we saw it last week at a school Open Day. Thursday: both girls have Harvest Festival ‘Productions’ at different times. Dimples’ stops performing the moment she sees me. When we come to the school later for LBG’s assembly, Dimples spies us from the playground and falls to pieces once more. LBG was great. Friday: with both Girls at school, I have a chance to get ready for the MAD awards 2012. No bad thing because the Big Chief needs me in London in the middle of the afternoon. I finally crawl into the cab home at 2am after a very long, very funny, very rewarding, very glam, day during which I met so many people I feel I have known my whole life for the first time. Bring on 2013. Saturday: after making chocolate chip pancakes, DH takes The Girls swimming to allow me to have a nap and get ready for Shine 2012. I set off at 5pm to Battersea Power Station, from where I walk around London for 13.1 miles in aid of Cancer Research UK with my face painted like a pink Spiderman. DH stays at home with our children but my Mum and Brother- in London for a party- put in an unexpected appearance along my route. This time I get to bed by 1.30am.
There is still time to donate money to Shine for Cancer Research 2012. Please go to my justgiving page and give as much as you can.

It was so lovely to meet you on Friday, and well done to you for managing Shine 2012 as well, especially after such a late night on Friday. xxx

Thanks Emma. I think if I do the walk next year, I’ll have to get an earlier night beforehand!
