Last year, I was amazed by the beautiful drip painting pumpkins that The Imagination Tree family made, so it’s not surprising that they were the inspiration behind the Pumpkin decorating that Dimples and I spent time on today when we created Glitter and glue pumpkins!
Rather than paint, the request was made for glitter. So I figured I could substitute PVA glue for the paint, which we dripped and dribbled all over the top of our squash. Once the glue was done, Dimples got to work with a variety of glitters: standard, flitter (whatever that is) and some sparkly shaped glitter. Oh, then she found the glitter glue and added some of that.
Obviously it took a while for the pumpkin to dry out, so its a good thing that we had naps and school runs to fit into our schedule. Once home, stage 2 of the decorating was required. This time, both girls got to work with sticky jewels that I picked up from our 99p store.
They were so pleased with the sticky, sparkly, Princessy, Glitter and glue pumpkins I think they want to make some more tomorrow!

It turned out quite lovely! We used puffy paint and glitter on ours this year. Thank you for linking up to The Sunday Showcase.
My little girls would absolutely love that project! My weekly linky party–One Creative Weekend–has gone spooky this week in honor of my thirteenth party. If you haven’t already, I hope you’ll visit “One Creative Weekend” on OneCreativeMommy.com (open every Fri-Wed) and link up this idea and anything else you’d like to share. (You can include non-Halloween posts as well, but feel free to link up as many Halloween-themed posts as you like.) There are two categories—one for Halloween and one for everything else.

ooog lovely! Very very pretty. Is there anything better than glitter and glue?
nope, Emma. Glitter is the way forward. Although we did the glitter outside to minimise the impact that sparkly stuff has 😀
