Fine Wines Direct

There is very little I need to tell you about Fine Wines Direct, other than that I thoroughly recommend them. They very kindly sent us some wine to test at DG Manor. The service was utterly remarkable: no sooner had I mailed to tell them of the sort of wines DH and I enjoy that three delicious wines were on my doorstep. Service, quality and understanding: what is not to love?

fine wines direct, pouilly-fuisse, malbec, chablis

The Pouilly-Fuisse definitely scored points on Facebook.

The Chablis I took to the first Parent Representative meeting I had to attend. It went down very well with nibbles and made the sheer task of what lies ahead this year much easier to bear. Crisp, clean and delightful and with the added bonus of scoring points with my fellow Reps.

The Pouilly-Fuisse was consumed over a leisurely supper with the in-laws in the dying days of summer. It was everything you expect from a fine wine. And I expect my beloved husband to order me some more after reading this post.

And the Malbec I saved for myself, one evening when DH was out and the house was quiet and I had a delicious steak with watercress salad on a plate and a play on the radio.

*disclosure: we received several bottles of wine for the purposes of this review. Our opinions are our own.
