I’m thrilled that it’s almost the middle of February as my life has been on hold waiting for an operation since the beginning of the year. Of course, winter hit a Siberian-vengance this week, with the snow overnight coating even the sea. The Girls were in snow-angel heaven. I was snuggling in front of a warm fire and DH was doing all the cooking to keep us warm. Nevertheless we weren’t snowed in, so were able, as is our regular wont, to see Granny M on Monday afternoon. Tuesday brought a panic as we were unable to find school shoes for LBG’s Class photographs, and Bella learned to balance on walls and jump off them. Excitement came in the form of Granny on Wednesday who came to look after us all whilst Mamma was a bit poorly: the doctors did something to her tummy and she had to spend a whole day in bed.
Naturally this was an amazing experience for Mamma since, despite the discomfort, she felt like a new woman after 18 hours sleep. This kind of meant that Thursday was a write-off, although a day for flower deliveries and laughing with Granny M at old family photographs. And on Friday Mamma pushed herself too hard going around Bromley and had to nap on the sofa until she recovered. With the aid of a Pret-a-Manger chocolate mousse. Saturday morning dawned bright and bitterly cold. Which explains why, when I tried to have a shower, there was no water. The pipes had frozen overnight, so we spent the morning thawing them and checking for leaks before escaping to Ask for lunch.

Project 366 #2: tandem downhill sledging with Daddy. We had the park to ourselves as everyone was at work or school. It was a really special family morning together.

Project 366 #3: Using the Pampered Chef hand chopper to break up the chocolate in her Pear and chocolate cake. We have one of these at home and I'd forgotten how therapeutic it is using one.

Project 366 #5: Get Well Soon flowers from Mari's World. I was so touched by all the good wishes from bloggers, but to get flowers was so unexpected and not a little overwhelming.

Project 366 #6: exhausted after a busy week. They drive each other mad all day and yet can't bear to be parted at bedtime.
Fab pictures, I love how close the girls are. Are you ok? I didn’t know you’d been in hospital.
