Crikey it’s been cold this week. And yet Sunday was wet, wet, wet. We opted to stay inside until there was a break in the clouds: I’m looking forward to both The Girls having scooters because they do nothing but fight over LBG’s one. Monday dawned bright, clear and cold. There was a hint of snow in the air, so it was a good thing that the builders are off on Jury duty. DA and I made Savoury Scones at cooking on Tuesday, then Pizzas at a friend’s house where we had a long-overdue playdate. It definitely seems like DA is growing out of her cheese-allergy because we had no issues as a result of all that cheese! By Wednesday morning I was glad that The Girls were at school as I had to beg antibiotics from the Doctor to rid myself of this ghastly cold. LBG had to bid farewell to her good friend who is off to South Africa for a month, and as the snow had been falling, I rather wished I was going with them.
Mari made me glad I hadn’t when we met on Thursday: I’m so pleased to have met her, and I came home from the Hobby Craft/Creative Stitch event with a spring in my step. Which was good: I needed all my patience to negotiate two very tired Girls through the bedtime hour, whilst DH was away overnight. Friday dawn clear and very cold. We had the excitement of a delivery of building supplies and a trip to review our local Waitrose Cafe. Daddy arrived home earlier than expected with customary gifts, and relieved me of my charges and go to bed. Which just left a Saturday of high comedy: from trying to fit Hannibal in the car, to lunch at McDonald’s and a walk that took so long to get ready for, it was dark by the time we got to the beach! But there was homemade bread and a Barbie DVD, so all ended well.

loving the puddle jumping – and there’s nothing quite like a bit of golden syrup – yum!
Domestic Goddesque says
I like the dribble of syrup that goes from face to tin Rollercoaster Mum!
Your girls are stunning, love the mummy-sofa shot! But my utmost favourite this week is the syrup one; a girl after my own heart!
