Orange is the only colour

I think that giving a prompt like ‘colour’ and then casually saying after it ‘just one’ is mean. Because a colour immediately springs to mind. And another one, a third hot on it’s heels.

“That’s OK,” you say to yourself “I’ll do them both.”

Except you read the small print which clearly states ‘only one.’

Bugger.

So this evening, having gone through almost every chart on the Farrow and Ball colour chart, which features such intriguing shades as Clunch (which is such a wonderfully satisfying word to say out loud. I urge you to try it. Go on, “Clunch…”), Setting Plaster, Elephant’s Breath and Churlish Green, I arrived at an impasse. I was incapable of making a decision. And decided to opt out, perhaps post about the latest Halloween Craft I have been working on with The Girls for our impending Pumpkin Party. And that is when it hit me. The answer, staring me in the face, to the question of a single colour.

Pumpkin Orange.

Orange is an excellent colour for this time of year: the number of Orange entries for this week’s Gallery prove it!!

I found it hard with one colour too, but you have done a beautiful job.
