Continuing the alliteration with the last How To, along with the shell and paper plate theme, we also had fun making a shell suncatcher.
Again, you need a paper plate with the centre cut out. Decorate it however you wish, since this forms the frame for the picture.
You also need a piece of clear plastic. I used the plastic from a packet of some kind, but you could use OHP sheets or cellophane.
Using a marker, draw a shell onto the plastic. we traced round the shell, but you could just draw it free-hand. Carefully paint your shell.
Once the shell has dried, then paint round the shell. We used several shades of blue in wavy lines to give the impression of waves.
Embellish with glitter and more marker pen, then stick the unpainted side to the underside of your paper plate (as both sides are decoration-free this will help the two things stick together.)
Stick to a convenient window and admire your art sparkle in the sunlight.
