The Gallery: Seasons of mist and mellow fruitfulness

(at least I think that’s how the poem goes…)
It’s Wednesday once more, which means The Gallery. The challenge this week is The Seasons- Tara wants us to show her what we are experiencing whilst she is experiencing autumn. Sadly, I’m experiencing Autumn
too. This morning the rain was pounding down on the Wet Room (aka Utility Room, so called because when it rains, it gets wet) roof and I honestly thought we would have snow before the end of the day, so bitterly cold was the wind that whistled under the front door. Yet this afternoon, when the Pocket Dictator announced she wanted to build sandcastles, we all wrapped up (DH was working at home and abandoned his reading to join us) and headed outside.

We built sandcastles (Dimples ate most of it), PD pushed Dimples in the swing and played Peekaboo in the playhouse, the Wonder Hound played football and Daddy taught PD how to play golf amongst the fallen leaves. I stayed behind the camera and swooned at my picture-perfect family.

Your garden is gorgeous – I'm so jealous of all that grassy space. We may have non-stop sunshine here in southern California bur drought tolerant, wildfire-safe crushed granite in the yard is not a fun playing surface for little ones!

What a lovely big garden you've got. Fab time had by all it seems. Kids just don't notice the cold, do they?!

Those are gorgeous photos. It is freezing here today too, we had hailstones here this morning. You were very brave to face out into it, but it was worth it for those photos:) Jen
