Heavens to Liberty

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a caption competition on Dulwich Mum’s blog (I will gloss over the fact that I appear to have won it because I was the only person sober enough the week before Christmas to come up with a clean caption and focus on the fact that I am clearly, despite being hugely pregnant, witty and amusingly clever.) The Pocket Dictator was the lucky recipient last week of her fabulous Freya Bean blouse (teamed here with lovely Boden jeans and looking not a little Retro.) DH and I are of one mind about the wonderful Liberty print garments that Peak Princess produces, which is to say the conversation went thus:
Me: Doesn’t she look fab in that top?
Him (whilst watching important current affairs show): Mmmm.
Me: it’s beautifully made, and so different.
Him: Yes.
Me: Perhaps I should get something else from the lovely PeakPrincess…..
Him: Mmmm.
Job done. My credit card is waiting for him to go to work in the morning, and I will be all over the website that The Sunday Times described as “achingly cool”. I’d get there before I do if I were you.
Incidentally, just before Christmas Peakprincess pointed me in the direction of her friend Sue at SCS Cufflinks. Yet again I out the credit card to good use, and purchased DH a pair of Wiltshire Navy cufflinks. They were a big hit.
