Bag yourself a Funpod from Livingwithkids

The Pocket Dictator got really cross a while back, wanting to see what I was up to in the kitchen. It’s a common thing for parents I suppose- you want them to be with you, helping you cook or just seeing what you are doing. It’s the way we all learn after all. But how do you achieve that? You could sit them on the worktop and risk a fall, stand them on a step or chair, with similar results. We have a kitchen floor that I HATE: chinese slate; each tile is uneven, the grouting uneven, the floor itself uneven. Anything that comes into contact with it breaks, from glass to melamine to plastic to wooden spoons (I kid you not.) So the idea that my precious little Dictator could fall onto the floor had me awake at night with Freddie Kruger-like nightmares. Which is why we love and adore the Funpod. She uses it to stand and chat to me whilst I faff, to ‘help’ turn the Magimix on and off and, most importantly for doing Binkles (sprinkles) when decorating cakes. Which is to say, I put some in a bowl and she steadily chomps her way through them whilst I decorate the rest. I discovered the other day that if I give her slices of peeled apple with her binkles, she will dip and munch, so at least I feel a bit less like Bad Mother of the Year. She also likes to eat her snacks in it, play peekaboo and take refuge from unwanted visitors playing with her toys. An all round winner which I picked up for a bargain price at Kiddicare.
I was subsequently pointed in the direction of Mydaddycooks who uses his Funpod with awesome results. We’re not there yet, but working on it. In the mean time I’m happy to recommend the Funpod to anyopne who asks me about it (I should get commission really) and therefore point you in the direction of Livingwithkids who have a competition to win one of these beauties, even better value for money now that they have adapted the Funpod to work as a highchair and Butcher’s block.
