How to scupper your Friday night: Leave your much-loved puppy at home with food, water, something to play with and a place to lie down and be quiet until you return. Make sure you close the dog gate behind you. Leave the house. Make sure you put alarm on correct setting [...] I always wanted a dog with the sort of name that makes you look a bit bonkers. OK, so I looked a bit bonkers long before we got the dog, but it always amused me, in a puerile sort of way, to think of someone striding across a park shouting “Doughnut” or “Slapper”. You [...] There have been a few extra bodies in our bed of late, and before you start thinking that you’ve tuned into the wrong blog and that it should be beyond the watershed, I refer to: 1. The Wonder Hound, who whined so pitifully in the night because she was cold that we brought her [...] It’s been nine days and I’m already feeling the pain. I refer not to the blog-a-day thing, though I have to say that is challenging. At the moment, juggling the Pocket Dictator, Wonder Hound and kamikaze Dimpled One usually means that I spend all day thinking about posting and most of the evening (after [...] (at least I think that’s how the poem goes…) It’s Wednesday once more, which means The Gallery. The challenge this week is The Seasons- Tara wants us to show her what we are experiencing whilst she is experiencing autumn. Sadly, I’m experiencing Autumn too. This morning the rain was pounding down on the Wet [...] The DH has given authorisation for the bathroom to be remodelled. Clearly my subtle plan to complain about it every day for the last two years whilst the children and I repeatedly (and inadvertantly, I might add) bash limbs and heads on the square edges of the un-family-friendly basin, has worked.
