God the weather sucks! The everlasting grey is beginning to eat away at my soul, and I feel as if I am slowly disappearing piece by piece. In a bid to fight off depression of a more permanent nature (and, having been there, I am always on the lookout for ‘signs’ that it may be returning) I have turned to chocolate cake. The making, not the eating, although the eating will undoubtedly come later. The smells are slowly drifting up the stairs as it cooks, rich and sweet and soothing.
Less soothing but just as effective, I have been dusting off the CD collection. A bit of an oversight in the stereo planning means we don’t really listen to anything other than radio 2 at the house, so CDs are the reserve of the car. And those CDs that make it in to the car cd wallet never make it out again. So I have been ringing the changes and been running about (in the car, not on foot, you understand) singing, nay belting out the words to……
the Backstreet Boys
Oh, the shame!!!!

Hi Kelly, just catching up on blogs after my week away. I think your photo’s are great, you look like you had an absolute ball. I’ve never had a large group of friends like that, I guess I’m a bit of a loner so it’s so refreshing to see so many girls in one room enjoying themselves!
Summer fruits – I still prefer my Christmas satsuma’s!!
Please don’t let the grey depress you. It’s not worth it. Have another piece of cake and bugger the diet!!

Yes, the photos looked great. I always wondered about Vinopolis. I’ll have to give it a go next time I’m in London. Cheer up, sweetie. Remember the song: “Grey skies are gonna clear up. Put on a happy face.” You can spread your own sunshine with the Backstreet Boys if you want to.
Thanks ladies….you are always so positive!
