Tip for tea stains

The builders have managed to stain all the Money Pit teaspoons and mugs black. I wouldn’t mind but we don’t even drink tea (though I do keep teabags and a tea pot for when the Mothership comes to visit- she brought me up well, don’t you think?) I had all but given up hope of ever getting the bloody things clean when Mrs CPS pointed out that all I needed to do was soak them overnight in a mix of water and bleach. Naturally you give them a bloody good clean afterwards. And hey presto, the next day they were clean and shiny. So thanks for that!

I have heard a rumour that soaking them in Coke will do the same thing, on the grounds that if it can be used to clear blood from crime scenes, a little tea stain isn’t going to be a challenge. Have yet to try it, though….
